The Friends of James Daugherty Foundation, Inc. was organized in 2009 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to preserve, protect and maintain the Daugherty artworks and archival material owned by the Foundation, to license the reproduction of images of the artworks, organize public exhibitions and lectures of the art, lend specific artworks to qualifying museums and institutions for the purposes of study and exhibitions, publish articles, periodicals, newsletters and books relating to James Daugherty and his art, including the use of the internet and digital media. The Foundation also makes specific gifts of Daugherty art in the trust to museums, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations.
